A Little Bit About Blue Lace Agate

What is Blue Lace Agate?

Blue Lace Agate Crystals

Blue Lace Agate is a recent addition to our crystal world … it was only discovered in the 1960s by a farmer called George Swanson. Whilst George Swanson found this beautiful crystal in Namibia in southern Africa, it can also be found in Kenya. The original farm in Namibia is still considered to have the best specimens.

Blue Lace Agate is a banded Chalcedony, which is a member of the Quartz family, and rates as a 6½ – 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Blue Lace Agate stands out from other forms of Agate due to its white lace patterns mixed with a soft powder blue colour.

Ashley Leavy, the author of the book Crystals for Energy Healing and the Director of the Love & Light School of Crystal Therapy, suggests how best to use Blue Lace Agate for forgiveness:

“Close your eyes and hold the stone in your hands while focussing on the person requiring your forgiveness. Allow yourself to feel any emotions surrounding the situation, listen to your inner truth about what has happened, and then let go of any unresolved feelings or negativity.”
